Object History:
I was her favorite plate—cherished, adored, and treated like a treasured heirloom. I was a gift from her grandma, a piece of history connecting her to the past. Every meal served on me felt special, every gathering warm with memories.
But one fateful day, everything changed. I slipped from her hands and shattered into countless pieces. Her heart broke along with mine. Yet, she couldn’t let me go—I held too much significance in her life.
She began gathering my fragments, carefully collecting each shard. With patience and creativity, she reassembled me, transforming my brokenness into something new.
Now, I’m no longer just a plate; I’ve become a beautiful mosaic, a symbol of resilience and love. Each piece tells a story, reflecting her journey of healing and the bond we share. Though broken, I remain—a constant reminder that even in pieces, we can still find a way to shine.
